We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Finance Assistant Manager to support our financial operations, focusing on product costing, biological asset accounting, and management reporting. This role requires an individual with significant expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and cost management to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide valuable business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Costing:
Oversee the costing of products, including direct and indirect costs, ensuring accurate financial tracking.
Regularly update cost structures to reflect the company's actual production costs.
Prepare and analyze standard costing models, including cost variance analysis.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to improve and align product costing updates.
Biological Asset Accounting:
Maintain accurate records of biological assets such as livestock, crops, and other agricultural assets.
Apply relevant valuation methods for biological assets, including fair value assessments, in compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure the proper recognition, measurement, and depreciation of biological assets as per IFRS or other local accounting standards.
Provide timely reports and insights on the status and valuation of biological assets for management.
Management Information Systems (MIS):
Generate and analyze management reports to provide financial insights to senior leadership.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the companys financial health.
Maintain and enhance the MIS database and reporting tools for better decision-making.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reviews.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
Prepare reconciliations, variance analysis, and profitability reports to track and forecast financial performance.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
Compliance and Controls:
Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and accounting regulations.
Participate in audits and implement recommended improvements to ensure robust financial controls.
Coordinate with external auditors as needed to ensure timely completion of audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, procurement, sales) to align financial practices with business objectives.
Support the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives across the business.
