Assistant Engineer - Water Infrastructure (on contract) (3- Vacancies)

GIFTCL invites application for the position of Assistant Engineer - Water Infra. (on contract) (3- Vacancies). This is a contractual position for a period of 5 years. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience.

The candidate should have done B.E. / B. Tech - Chemical / Environment / Mechanical / Instrumentation or related subject with 0-2 years of experience. Detailed job description is as under,

• Assist in the planning, design, and construction of water pipeline networks, including the selection of appropriate materials, sizing, and routing.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications and safety protocols.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports related to pipeline projects.
• Assist in the development of control systems and instrumentation for monitoring and operation of pumping stations.
• Conduct performance testing and commissioning of pumping stations to ensure proper operation and compliance with design criteria.
• Assist in the selection and sizing of treatment units, chemical dosing systems, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Participate in the development of operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and quality control protocols for water treatment plants.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in water infrastructure and treatment.
• Participate in site meetings, and progress reviews, as needed.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols and promote a culture of safety on project sites.
• Liaise with project managers, senior engineers, and contractors to provide regular updates on project status and challenges.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
