Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Leadership:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a robust quality assurance (QA) system that aligns with client standards, including US & Europe Clients/buyers .
  • Establish and enforce the "Right First Time" approach across all processes to minimize defects and improve operational efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership at all organizational levels, driving a quality mindset throughout the workforce.

2. Process Optimization and Control:

  • Analyze and streamline production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and other quality management tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of internal processes, ensuring adherence to client-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements.

3. Client and Product Compliance:

  • Collaborate with clients like US & Europe Clients/buyers to understand their specific requirements and integrate them into the quality systems.
  • Ensure all products meet international and client-specific standards (e.g., REACH, OEKO-TEX, BCI compliance).
  • Lead third-party and client audits, ensuring successful certifications and approvals.

4. Quality Metrics and Reporting:

  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for quality, including defect rates, customer complaints, and first-pass yields.
  • Prepare detailed quality reports for management and clients, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

5. Team Development and Training:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Organize regular training programs on quality control tools, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies for the team.
  • Conduct workshops to instill a quality-driven mindset across departments.

6. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in processes and implement preventive measures to mitigate quality issues.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes to resolve quality-related problems effectively.

7. Vendor and Supply Chain Quality:

  • Establish robust quality controls for suppliers and raw materials to ensure upstream compliance.
  • Conduct periodic vendor audits and drive improvements in supplier quality performance.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Textile Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications:
    • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
    • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
    • Knowledge of OEKO-TEX, REACH, and other industry standards.
