Job Summary

- We are seeking a highly skilled Haskell Developer with a strong background in functional programming, data analysis, and collaboration.

- The ideal candidate will possess expertise in domains such as cryptography, financial systems, data visualization, and concurrent programming.

- This role involves developing efficient Haskell code, debugging, performing data analysis, and working closely with researchers and stakeholders to deliver impactful business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Haskell Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient code in Haskell.

- Evaluate and review machine-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and clarity, proposing optimized solutions as needed.

- Implement functional programming principles to create robust, scalable software solutions.

Data Analysis :

- Work with open datasets (e.g , Kaggle, UN, US Government) to address critical business challenges using data analytics.

- Analyze tables, charts, and diagrams to generate meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

Problem Solving :

- Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create elegant, efficient solutions for complex business and technical challenges.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Collaborate with researchers to translate requirements into actionable technical tasks.

- Communicate findings, technical concepts, and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation :

- Prepare comprehensive documentation for codebases, processes, and workflows to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills :

- 3+ years of experience in Haskell development, with deep knowledge of functional programming paradigms.

- Hands-on experience with debugging, performance optimization, and refactoring of Haskell programs.

- Proficiency in using data analytics tools and libraries within the Haskell ecosystem.

- Familiarity with free and open datasets for business insights and decision-making.

Complementary Skills :

- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts relevant to functional programming.

- Knowledge of type systems, monads, and higher-order functions in Haskell.

- Experience with SQL or other databases for querying and data manipulation.

- Exposure to REST APIs and integrating with external systems.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with researchers and stakeholders.

- Fluent spoken and written English communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with other functional programming languages (e.g , Scala, F#, OCaml, Elm).
