Location: Noida.
Experience: 10+ years in Credit Risk, Lending, or related domains.
Industry Preference: NBFCs, Banks, FinTech, or Agri-Finance.
Role Overview:
The Head of Credit will be responsible for leading the credit risk function, designing credit policies, managing underwriting, and ensuring a robust risk assessment framework.
The role requires a deep understanding of secured and unsecured lending, risk modeling, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Policy & Risk Management:
- Define and implement credit risk frameworks, policies, and underwriting standards.
- Develop risk models to assess borrower profiles and optimize approval rates.
- Monitor portfolio health, identifying early warning signals and mitigating risks.
Underwriting & Approval Process:
- Oversee credit appraisal and underwriting for retail and corporate lending.
- Set up approval matrices and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
- Guide the team in complex credit decisions and deal structuring.
Portfolio & Collections Management:
- Ensure continuous monitoring of loan performance and NPA control.
- Work closely with collections teams to optimize recovery strategies.
- Implement early warning systems to track delinquencies.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to RBI norms, NBFC guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams for policy alignment.
- Maintain accurate reporting and MIS for audits and board reviews.
Stakeholder & Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts and risk professionals.
- Work cross-functionally with business, operations, legal, and tech teams to optimize credit processes.
- Engage with external stakeholders (banks, rating agencies, regulators) as needed.
