Senior Manager Weaving Loomshed

Job Purpose:

The Sr. Manager Weaving Loomshed is responsible for overseeing the weaving operations, ensuring optimal performance of looms, maintaining high-quality standards, and achieving production targets. This role involves managing a team, streamlining operations, and implementing best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:
   
• Plan, organize, and monitor daily weaving operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Optimize loom utilization and ensure adherence to production targets.
2. Team Leadership:
   
• Lead and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Conduct regular training to enhance team skills and performance.
3. Quality Assurance:
   
• Ensure fabric quality by monitoring weaving processes and taking corrective measures when deviations occur.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control team to address quality issues promptly.
4. Machine Maintenance:
   
• Monitor loom performance and ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to minimize machine downtime.
5. Process Improvement:
   
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Drive innovation and adopt new technologies to improve weaving efficiency.
6. Inventory Management:
   
• Ensure availability of raw materials like yarn, beams, and other consumables.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and minimize wastage.
7. Compliance & Safety:
   
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and address any concerns promptly.
8. Reporting & Documentation:
   
• Prepare and present reports on production, quality, and operational performance.
• Maintain documentation of weaving processes, maintenance schedules, and other operational records.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of weaving operations, loom types (Rapier, Airjet, etc.), and fabric construction.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Textile Technology or Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in weaving operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Preferred Background: Experience in a large-scale textile manufacturing setup is advantageous.
