Associate Manager - Yarn Dyeing Lab

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lab Dipping Development:

• Develop lab dips as per the customers specific shade requirements, ensuring that colors meet the desired standards and specifications.
• Perform computer-aided color matching and recipe prediction with a Delta E value of less than 1 using Data-Color software to ensure accurate shade replication.

2. Shade Matching & Recipe Prediction:

• Use Data-Color Spectrophotometer for color shade matching, recipe prediction, whiteness testing, and color change evaluations.
• Conduct fastness testing (rubbing, washing, and light fastness) and stain ratings to assess the durability of colors.
• Predict accurate color recipes by analyzing lab dip results and adjusting formulations for bulk production.

3.Lab to Bulk Correlation:

• Ensure seamless transition from lab dyeing to bulk production, maintaining color consistency across different dyeing machines.
• Coordinate with production teams to correlate lab test results to bulk production output, minimizing deviations in color accuracy.
  
• Lead the color lab team, ensuring a high level of work efficiency and productivity while maintaining the quality standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on advanced dyeing techniques and best practices for color matching and testing.

4.Recipe Optimization:

• Develop cost-effective color recipes considering various factors, such as cost, metamerism (color consistency under different light conditions), and fastness properties.
• Continually improve dyeing formulations for optimal results, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards

5.Machine & Equipment Management:

• Operate and maintain Data-Color Spectrophotometer, Co Power Automatic Color Dispensing System, and Gretag Macbeth Spectra Light Box for accurate color assessment and recipe development.
• Oversee the operation of production machines, including Jet Dyeing Machine, Jigger Dyeing Machine, Stenter Machine, and Coating Machine, ensuring smooth operation and quality control.

6.Achieving Color Accuracy & Quality:

• Prepare and input all necessary databases into Data-Color Spectrophotometer to facilitate precise computer color matching and recipe generation.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure colors are consistent across different production stages.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Data-Color software, spectrophotometers, and color matching equipment. Knowledge of dyeing processes, fastness testing, and metamerism is required.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading a color lab team, managing projects, and ensuring efficient lab-to-production workflows.
