Job Summary:

The Shift Officer - Weaving (Denim Division) is responsible for overseeing denim weaving operations during assigned shifts. The role involves ensuring high-quality fabric output, optimizing machine performance, troubleshooting weaving defects, and maintaining production efficiency. The ideal candidate should have experience in denim weaving processes and a strong understanding of loom operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Weaving Operations & Production Management:

• Supervise and manage denim weaving processes during the shift to ensure smooth production.
• Optimize loom settings for maximum efficiency and fabric quality.
• Execute production plans as per the shift schedule, ensuring timely output.
• Monitor yarn and fabric movement, minimizing wastage and defects.

Quality Control & Process Improvement:

• Ensure denim fabric meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• Identify and rectify weaving defects such as broken ends, picks, and shading issues.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective measures.
• Analyze production data to improve efficiency and reduce rejections.

Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Monitor loom performance (Air Jet, Rapier, Projectile looms used for denim weaving).
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues to minimize downtime.

Team Coordination & Compliance:

• Supervise and guide weaving machine operators and shift workers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Coordinate with departments like warping, dyeing, and finishing for a seamless workflow.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Diploma/Bachelors in Textile Engineering, Weaving Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-5 years in denim weaving operations in a textile manufacturing unit.
• Strong knowledge of looms used in denim production (Air Jet, Rapier, Projectile, etc.).
• Understanding of yarn, indigo dyeing processes, and fabric construction.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for process improvement.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities for shift management.
