Job Title: Plant Head Foundry Operations

Reports To: VP - Foundry/ Managing Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Plant Head to oversee and drive the overall operations of our state-of-the-art foundry, equipped with a DISA Vertical High-Pressure Moulding Line. The Plant Head will be responsible for setting operational strategies, optimizing processes, ensuring sustainable growth, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. This role requires exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to align day-to-day operations with the companys strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the companys long-term goals and vision.
• Lead the foundry operations, ensuring alignment between production, quality, supply chain, and customer requirements.
• Oversee the introduction of new technologies, methodologies, and processes to maintain competitive advantage.

Operational Management

• Supervise all aspects of production, including capacity planning, process optimization, and efficiency improvement.
• Ensure optimal utilization of the DISA Vertical High-Pressure Moulding Line and other foundry equipment.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) across production, quality, inventory, and cost metrics.

Raw Material Procurement and Inventory Management

• Oversee procurement strategies to secure high-quality raw materials at optimal costs.
• Establish inventory management practices to balance production needs with cost efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and consistency in supply.

Quality and Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure adherence to the highest quality standards, meeting or exceeding customer specifications and industry certifications.
• Drive initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction by improving product quality, delivery timelines, and service excellence.

Team Leadership and Development

• Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team, fostering accountability and innovation.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement throughout the organization.
• Identify training needs and implement skill development programs to enhance workforce expertise.

Sustainability and Compliance

• Champion sustainability initiatives, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and green manufacturing practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, creating a zero-accident workplace.

Financial Oversight

• Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery standards.
• Collaborate with the finance team to analyze operational performance and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Innovation and Industry Leadership

• Drive adoption of lean manufacturing principles and Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
• Lead the organization in staying ahead of industry trends, fostering innovation in processes and products.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Production Engineering (MBA preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 20+ years in foundry or manufacturing operations, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven expertise in managing advanced foundry operations, including DISA Vertical High-Pressure Moulding Lines.
• Strong knowledge of ferrous casting processes, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Financial acumen with the ability to prepare and manage budgets effectively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
