Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior GIS and Remote Sensing Analyst Agricultural Data Satellite Imagery to join our team, with expertise in CHF methodology, crop yield estimations, and AI/ML applications in agriculture. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of relevant experience in remote sensing and GIS, including satellite data analysis, crop health assessments, and working with government frameworks (MNCFC/PMFBY/AIC). The role involves leading agricultural data projects, collaborating with tech teams, and supporting business development efforts.

- SAR data analysis for crop and forest studies
- Polarimetric SAR analysis (m-alpha, m-delta, m-chi techniques)
- Temporal and multi-temporal SAR data analysis
Satellite Data Processing Analysis:
- RISAT-1
- Sentinel-1/2/3
- RADARSAT-1
- ENVISAT
- LANDSAT
- PLANET
Statistical Analytical Methods:
- Crop health and yield estimation using optical and SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data
- NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) change detection
- Crop biophysical parameters analysis (LAI, FAPAR, PAR)
- Soil moisture estimation and surface roughness analysis with SAR data

Key Responsibilities:

4-5 years of experience in CHF/AI ML yield estimations and RS/GIS applications in agriculture.
Proficiency in remote sensing software (ENVI, ArcGIS, ERDAS, QGIS, SNAP).
Strong knowledge of SAR and optical data analysis for crop estimation and health monitoring.
Experience with GIS frameworks and automation tools (ArcGIS Dashboard, Mapstore, Arcpy).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams (tech, sales, and product).
Lead projects on crop health, acreage estimation, and yield analysis using optical and SAR data.
Implement CHF methodology and other recognized standards for agricultural assessments.
Process and analyze satellite data from multiple sources (Sentinel, RISAT1, Landsat, etc.) for agricultural applications.
Develop crop-specific indices and models using multisource satellite imagery, collaborating with CVML engineers.
Conduct soil nutrient mapping and crop health mapping using satellite imagery analytics.
Collaborate with sales and management teams to develop contract-winning proposals and ensure client deliverables.
Lead geofencing activities and temporal/predictive assessments.
Ensure compliance with government frameworks and methodologies.
Utilize GIS automation tools (Arcpy, Qpy), and GIS servers (Geoserver, Open Layer) for data processing.
Work with GIS frameworks like ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, and SNAP for data visualization and analysis.
Perform statistical analysis using R and Python (pandas) to validate models.
