About the job Director/VP/SVP - Health, Nutrition & WASH
About the role:
This pivotal role combines strategic leadership, project management, and business development responsibilities. The incumbent will be responsible to drive innovation and growth in our partners Health, Nutrition & WASH portfolio, identifying cutting-edge ideas and cultivating strategic partnerships. S/He will also lead on some of the existing and upcoming projects in the space of Health Systems Strengthening, RMHCH+A, SRH, Health Financing, etc .
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Project Management
Provide visionary leadership to ensure programmatic excellence and financial integrity across projects
Develop and update comprehensive work plans aligned with beneficiary needs, government priorities, and donor requirements
Ensure compliance with funder policies (USAID, World Bank, ADB, etc.).
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding agencies, Ministry of Health, and implementing partners
Oversee project budgets, financial operations, and resource allocation
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
Guide the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions
Ensure technical quality and sustainability of all project activities
Lead the development of robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks
Review and contribute to technical reports, publications, and knowledge products
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams
Streamline team efforts to achieve rapid and sustainable results
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Business Development & Partnerships
Identify trendsetting ideas in health, nutrition, and WASH sectors
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders
Lead proposal development for complex, large-scale bids
Collaborate with technical experts to identify new business opportunities
Enhance brand and reputation in the health and development sector
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field
15+ years of experience in leadership roles within international development, with a focus
on health programs
Proven track record in managing large-scale USAID-funded projects
Expert knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, family planning, and WASH
programming
Strong financial management and business development skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
