Purpose of the Job:

We are looking to hire a Curriculum Development Director, English to build innovative academic products that improve student outcomes and drive deeper adoption at schools. We are looking for highly competent professionals who understand what it takes to deliver quality education and are excited by the idea of transforming schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating new and innovative academic products for building English language proficiency that are the best in the market.
Responsible for bringing global research and best practices on language learning.
Responsible for leading the English team, the whole portfolio of English products, development and delivery of the products.
Responsible for building products that visibly improve English proficiency among students.
To collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the products are of the highest quality, and work with the management as necessary to achieve the revenue targets.
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead the English language academics team
Lead evolution of ELGA as the best English teaching methodology.
Create next generation products for the Indian market encompassing all types of schools, from low fees to high fees
Manage the portfolio, planning, production, editorial to maintain an excellent standard of the product
Strategy development includes competitor study in terms of product quality, pedagogy used, conducting surveys to understand the future requirements etc.
Design the digital assets and assessments that will create an impact on the success of the product
Working with the academic team and with authors and freelancers to plan editorial strategy and commission high quality content.
Monitor and develop the production and delivery processes and make improvements/rationalizations where appropriate. Ensure timely release of all products.
Keep an eye on market developments & create products that are futuristic & give an edge over competition.
Monitor in-house processes and resources and make improvements and/or rationalizations where appropriate
Design high quality trainings for teachers and school leaders
Coach and develop a strong team of editors and content creators into future leaders.
Lead teacher training modules on for ELGA and all English products to help schools implement the program
Review and Analyze student learning progress and improve the product to achieve company goals on student outcomes
Ideal Experience Profile:
15+ years experience in K-12 education industry
Excellent academic pedigree with a preference for an alumnus of a top-tier college/university in India / abroad. A Masters degree is preferable.
Expertise in teaching English language
Demonstrated results in building products with high efficacy.
The candidate should have demonstrated experience in building external partnerships and conducting high quality trainings to drive implementation of their products
Experience in managing development of print & digital products through collaboration with internal departments & with external suppliers
Experience of setting up budgets & delivering ROI on projects
Experience of working with technology solutions
