Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Operations and Center Head to oversee the operations of our partners Centers of Excellence (CoE) in Manufacturing and ensure the achievement of key organizational objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership , project management , and stakeholder engagement skills . The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Manufacturing industry (subtractive and additive) and the ability to align training programs with emerging technologies. This is a team-oriented role that involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and it requires frequent travel across states and pan-India as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
  • Operations Management :
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple Centers of Excellence (CoEs), ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and implement strategies for student mobilization , ensuring maximum enrollment and engagement.
    • Manage administrative functions, including maintaining records of student performance, attendance, and placement data.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations, including health and safety standards and company SOPs.
    • Efficiently manage resources, including staff, facilities, and equipment, to ensure optimal utilization.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on CoE activities and performance to senior management.
    • Manage the budget for CoEs, ensuring cost-effective operations and financial sustainability.
  • Government Liaisoning :
    • Maintain records, compliance, and paperwork in accordance with government regulations.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and departments to facilitate smooth operations.
    • Process bills and invoices with the government and manage collections efficiently.
  • Placement and Industry Engagement :
    • Connect with existing and new companies to facilitate job opportunities for students.
    • Achieve target placement rates for students graduating from the CoEs.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to foster collaborations and ensure training programs meet industry needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement :
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including the Learning team, to ensure training programs are of the highest quality and relevance.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for government bodies, industry partners, and other external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Leadership :
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of CoEs.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations staff and center managers.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Industry Expertise and Emerging Technologies :
    • Leverage knowledge of the Manufacturing industry (subtractive and additive) to ensure training programs are aligned with industry trends and requirements.
    • Stay updated on advancements in manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, IoT, AI, 3D printing) and incorporate them into the CoE curriculum and operations.
    • Ensure the CoEs are at the forefront of emerging technologies to prepare students for future industry demands.
  • Team Collaboration and Travel :
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
    • Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.
    • Be prepared for frequent travel across states and pan-India to manage centers, attend stakeholder meetings, and oversee operations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with significant experience in managing multiple centers or facilities.
  • Skills :
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Excellent project management capabilities.
    • Proficiency in relationship management and liaisoning with government bodies.
    • Ability to handle compliance and regulatory issues.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of the Manufacturing industry (subtractive and additive) is a significant advantage .
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to travel across states and pan-India as required.
    • Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment .
