Executive / Sr. Executive Logistics

Role & responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning:

- Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of logistics activities with overall organizational goals and objectives.

2. Supply Chain Management:

- Manage the entire supply chain process, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, and distribution.

- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

3. Inventory Control:

- Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of goods in transit and in storage.

- Develop inventory management policies to minimize excess inventory and reduce carrying costs.

4. Transportation Management:

- Coordinate transportation logistics, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight negotiation.

- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and industry standards.

5. Team Leadership:

- Lead and motivate a team of logistics professionals to achieve departmental objectives.

- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to team members to foster professional development and maximize productivity.

6. Risk Management:

- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the supply chain and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

- Establish contingency plans to address unforeseen events and ensure business continuity.

7. Vendor Management:

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions.

- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to achieve favorable terms and conditions.

8. Continuous Improvement:

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.

- Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
