Job Overview: The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models and algorithms to generate actionable insights. This role requires expertise in data collection, data analysis, statistical modelling, and algorithm development. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Preparation: o Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources (structured and unstructured).

o Identify data quality issues, perform data wrangling, and conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA). o Interpret data, analyze results, and provide actionable insights for business decision making.

Model Development and Optimization:

o Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models for predictive and prescriptive analytics (e.g., classification, regression, clustering, and recommendation systems).

o Apply advanced statistical methods and algorithms (e.g., decision trees, neural networks, random forests, SVMs, etc.) to solve complex business problems. o Fine-tune models using cross-validation techniques to ensure high accuracy and performance.

Data Visualization and Reporting:

o Create clear and meaningful visualizations (e.g., dashboards, charts, graphs) to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

o Present findings and recommendations to senior management, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.

Collaboration and Communication:

o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights. o Assist in defining data-driven strategies and monitor progress towards business KPIs.

Research and Innovation:

o Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. o Continuously evaluate and implement new techniques, tools, and technologies to improve data processes and analytical capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: o Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills: o Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Familiarity with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is highly preferred. o Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn (for Python users).

o Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques. o Expertise in data wrangling, feature engineering, and model evaluation.

Experience:

o 3 + years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role.

o Hands-on experience with data manipulation and exploratory data analysis. o Experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Soft Skills: o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

o Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

o Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), or time series forecasting.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and model deployment.

Knowledge of version control tools like Git.

Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., finance, healthcare, e-commerce) is a plus.
