Compliance Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Treasury Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that all financial covenants, facility agreements, and lender obligations are consistently tracked and met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring covenant compliance, tracking facility usage, preparing lender updates, overseeing ENS reporting, and coordinating with lender engineers for project finance, and ensuring the timely submission of management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Covenant Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to financial covenants outlined in loan and credit agreements. Regularly review covenant metrics and escalate potential breaches.
• Financial Reporting Submissions: Coordinate and ensure timely submission of management accounts, covenant certificates in accordance with agreed schedules and lender requirements.
• Lender Engineer Coordination: Collaborate with lender engineers to ensure compliance with project milestones, monitor project progress, and support financing requirements.
• ENS Reporting: Coordinate with the ESG teams and manage reporting of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reports, ensuring compliance with lender requirements and relevant regulations.
• Compliance Monitoring: Assist in the development and maintenance of internal trackers, and procedures related to treasury operations
• Facility Tracking: Track the usage and performance of debt facilities, updating loan and security agreements, ensuring proper alignment with agreed terms. Report any variances or concerns.

Qualifications & Skills:

• MBA or CA finalist/ inter
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial covenants, understanding of loan agreements and monitoring conditions, and corporate compliance requirements.
• Experience with ENS reporting and compliance in project finance context.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, particularly with lenders and external engineers.
• Proficiency in financial reporting.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage external and internal stakeholders.
• French is an added advantage.
