Lead Consultant - Variant Configuration

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Lead mid to large size and complex consulting projects simultaneously.
• Participate in the development and implement long-term client strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients within their workstream.
• Effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and keep all parties informed about project progress, challenges, and changes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and technology requirements.
• Provide expert advice on technology solutions and tools that can enhance the client's operations.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors and suppliers to source necessary hardware, software, or services.
• Provide recommendations for updates, upgrades, or modifications as needed.

EXPERIENCE:

• Design, implement, and optimize SAP Variant Configuration (VC) solutions for complex product configurations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and develop configuration models (characteristics, classes, dependencies, super BOMs/routings).
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP VC with other modules like SD, MM, and PP.
• Manage end-to-end implementation, including testing, deployment, and user training.
• Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot configuration-related issues.
• Leverage expertise in SAP VC and manufacturing processes to drive system efficiency.
• Conduct detailed analysis of existing processes and propose optimized SAP VC solutions.
• Develop and maintain configuration profiles, rules, and procedures for complex product offerings.
• Create functional specifications for custom development and collaborate with technical teams.
• Lead workshops and discussions with stakeholders to align on configuration requirements.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for VC models.
• Support cross-functional teams in sales, production, and supply chain to align VC models with business processes.
• Document all VC-related processes, configurations, and user manuals.
• Provide training sessions to end-users and key stakeholders to enhance system understanding.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of VC-related tasks.
• Identify and resolve issues related to pricing, order management, and production planning in VC.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and scalability.
• Stay updated with SAP S/4HANA advancements and recommend relevant features or upgrades.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on SAP VC best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams to standardize configuration practices across regions.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree required.
