Job Description

Position: Software Sales Manager (India)
Location: Balewadi, Pune (Work from office with occasional travel)
Reports to: CEO
Employment Type: Full-time


Job Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Software Sales Manager to spearhead our sales efforts and drive growth in the Indian market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in the competitive software industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Sales Strategy Development:

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Indian market to drive growth.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Forecast and monitor sales performance to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

2. Lead Generation & Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients across various industry sectors (e.g., Automobile, Manufacturing, Healthcare).
  • Generate high-quality leads through cold calling, networking, partnerships, and inbound inquiries.
  • Nurture relationships with existing clients and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

3. Sales Presentations & Negotiations:

  • Deliver engaging sales presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept sessions tailored to client needs.
  • Manage the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract agreements to secure long-term customer relationships.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Address customer inquiries, issues, and concerns promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software or technology sales, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of the Indian market and industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise software solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Indian regulatory environment and business practices.
  • Multilingual skills (Marathi, Hindi, English) are a plus.
