Ardee Industries - Head - Purchase (20-25 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for the purchase of lead-acid batteries, scrap materials, and other related products.

Supplier Management: Identify, negotiate with, and establish strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and stakeholders within the recycling industry.

Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-efficient purchasing without compromising quality or compliance.

Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (logistics, operations, and recycling) to ensure a smooth flow of materials for processing and minimize operational disruptions.

Quality Assurance: Ensure that purchased materials meet required quality standards and regulatory compliance, particularly in environmental and safety regulations.

Market Research & Trends: Keep abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies in the lead battery recycling sector.

Inventory Management: Maintain an efficient inventory system and ensure the timely replenishment of raw materials and supplies.

Sustainability: Promote the adoption of sustainable procurement practices to align with environmental goals and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes.

Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market conditions to senior management.
