1. JOB PURPOSE

The position exists to support design and engineering functions across the engineering team to develop drawings, layouts

using Autodesk software tool support and BOQs which includes the following:

The drawings are required to be developed using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The drawings would be for

structural steel concrete structures, architectural drawings for buildings, etc.

These drawings should accurately represent the specifications, dimensions, and components of civil and structural

members.

BOQs shall be prepared for steel and concrete structures from drawings and grading quantities shall be extracted from

contours and spot levels.

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Accountabilities Major Activities

Civil and structural Drafting for

greenfield renewable and transmission

projects

Key accountabilities and deliverables

• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members

to understand project requirements and translate engineering designs into

accurate drafts.

• Utilize Autodesk software, such as AutoCAD, to create detailed 2D and

3D technical drawings, layouts, and plans for renewable energy and

Transmission and Distribution projects.

• Prepare both structural steel and concrete drawings.

• Preparation of MCR building architectural and structural drawings.

• Prepare concrete drawings including water tanks, foundations, buildings

etc.

• Preparation of structural steel drawings of Module Mounting Structures

(MMS) and other steel structures like sheds, towers, equipment mounting

structures, etc.

• Prepare water supply layouts for module cleaning systems, road and drain

Education: Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or certification in Civil Drafting, CAD, Autodesk, or a related field can be

beneficial.

•

• Proficiency in using relevant software AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, Google Earth, DGPS and drone survey, etc.

• Code Knowledge: Understanding of application of various Indian standards and regulations for Civil Design Engineering

perspective.

• Experience: Previous experience as an Civil draftsman or in a similar drafting role is preferred.

• Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, understand project requirements, and

convey information clearly.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies in drawings.

• Time Management: Efficiently manage workload and meet project deadlines.

drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure required for the greenfield

renewable and transmission projects.

• Utilize Autodesk Civil 3D to calculate land development and drainage

quantities.

• Preparation of BOQs from civil and structural drawings.

• Site Assessment and Selection: Perform site visits and share reports to

determine the suitability of locations for solar power plant construction.

leveraging them to enhance drafting efficiency and quality.

Interfacing and collaborating

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to

understand project requirements and translate them into visual

representations. Communicate effectively to ensure that the drawings

meet design intent.

5. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Educational Qualifications:

Functional Skills:

Overall experience: 5+ Years of experience in CAD drafting, experience in STAAD Pro is preferred.

• Experience in the renewable (wind/solar) or transmission and distribution industry.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as civil draftsman involved for preparation of steel, concrete and architectural drawings.

• Consultancy background in a similar field is preferred.
