Product Manager - IT (12-15 yrs)

- The team is seeking an experienced Product Manager for our Productboard environments and to help guide this team in their journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

- Establish a governance plan for Productboard across multiple divisions by identifying and engaging with stakeholders.

- Document current processes and usage across workspaces, gather requirements, investigate solutions, analyze impact.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for consolidating the various Productboard sites in collaboration with various stakeholders.

- Determine, document, and promote best practices for using Productboard within Client.

- Establish change management process that will ensure best practices are supported and adopted across all sites to maintain consistency.

- Work closely with site managers, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the consolidation efforts support business objectives.

- Support current or future integrations of tools with Productboard.

- Provide guidance and planning for the onboarding of new teams to Productboard.

- Provide next-level technical support for Productboard Support Engineer.

- Assist with integrating Productboard into an overarching data and process flow architecture.

- Provide best-practice solutions for automations in and around the Productboard environments.

- Analyze metrics and log data to support better decision-making and to improve the system performance and support.

- Ability to create, manage, and support all admin functions of Productboard.

- Experience with data migration to Productboard, preferably from Aha! and Asana.

Skills and Work Traits:

- Extensive experience in product management and tool consolidation using Productboard.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor large-scale consolidation projects.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with stakeholders.

- Experience in establishing governance structures and change management processes.

- Excellent communication skills to articulate best practices and project goals to diverse audiences.

- Deals well with ambiguous or undefined problems- ability to think abstractly and guide others.

- Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels and documenting solutions.

- Excellent interpersonal skills in written and verbal format.

- Effectively work as a member of a highly adaptable, multi-discipline team.

- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-team/Geo model to ensure successful management of operational tasks (setting resolution expectations, ensuring proper escalation and/or hand-offs as needed, etc.

- Can articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences both in writing and in person.

- Willing to flex your behavioral style to meet the needs of the team or work at hand.

- Confident of your skills, abilities and willing to share what you know, while learning from others.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies.

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience as software product manager.

- 5+ years of experience using Productboard at the Maker level, preferably Maker/Admin.

- 3+ years of experience as project manager for larger consolidation projects.

- 5+ years of experience with Productboard configuration management and associated best practices.

- Proven experience in establishing Productboard environments and onboarding of new users.

Plus:

- Experience with Aha!.

- Experience with Airtable, Trello, Smarthsheets and Asana.

- Experience with Jira, Teams, and Confluence.

Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field.
