Automation Lead - Appium/Manual Testing (5-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SDET with a strong focus on mobile automation testing.

In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our mobile applications by leading the development and execution of robust and comprehensive test suites.

You will work closely with development teams to identify, design, and implement effective testing strategies that cover all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts for mobile applications (iOS and Android) using frameworks like Appium, Detox, Selenium, or similar tools.

- Develop and maintain test frameworks, libraries, and tools to support efficient and scalable testing.

- Perform thorough functional, regression, and integration testing of mobile applications across various devices (emulators, simulators, real devices).

- Analyze test results, identify and report software defects, and track them to resolution.

- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements, design test plans, and implement testing strategies.

- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers on best practices for mobile test automation.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to test automation.

- Stay abreast of the latest mobile testing technologies, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications :

Required :

- 6-8 years of extensive hands-on experience in developing and executing automated test scripts for mobile applications.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript programming languages.

- Experience testing across iOS and Android devices (emulators, simulators, real devices).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply appropriate test techniques for comprehensive test coverage.

- Strong background in both automation and manual testing, including test planning, test execution, and defect reporting.

- Ability to triage issues, adapt to changes, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred :

- Experience with Appium, Detox, or other mobile test automation frameworks.

- Experience with API testing.

- Experience with React Native application testing.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for CI/CD and test integration.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
