DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform (3-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation :

- Manage and orchestrate cloud infrastructure on GCP, leveraging infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer).

- Implement DevOps best practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Utilize Docker containers for application packaging and deployment.

Application Deployment & Management :

- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot complex web applications and microservices on GCP.

- Ensure seamless integration between various application components, including databases, caching layers, APIs, CDNs, etc.

- Implement application monitoring solutions (e.g , New Relic, ELK Stack) to track performance and identify potential issues.

Scripting & Development :

- Utilize scripting languages (Python, Perl, Go, Shell) to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment tasks.

- Possess a working knowledge of key-value stores, SQL/NoSQL databases, and content delivery systems (e.g , Redis, Akamai, Fastly/Varnish).

Security & Compliance :

- Implement security best practices for hardening cloud environments and protecting sensitive data.

- Maintain a strong understanding of information security principles and compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Collaborate effectively with developers, operations teams, and other stakeholders.

- Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or a related cloud engineering role.

- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration and system management principles.

- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core services.

- Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) and scripting languages (Python, Perl, Go, Shell).

- Experience with Docker containerization technologies.

- Working knowledge of key-value stores, databases (SQL/NoSQL), application monitoring tools, and content delivery systems.

- Basic understanding of networking and web hosting/delivery infrastructure.

- Experience in secure cloud environments and adherence to security best practices.

- Experience deploying and managing complex web applications or microservices.

- Strong understanding of change and version control systems (Git).

- Highly accountable, results-oriented, and takes ownership of tasks.
