Role Description :
As a Software Program Manager at AppGlide, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of software product initiatives for our client.
You will leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies and the Atlassian product suite (particularly Jira) to ensure our development teams work efficiently and deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
You will be the primary point of contact for program updates and will be responsible for driving successful outcomes for our client.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Planning & Strategy :
- Develop and manage comprehensive program roadmaps and timelines, aligning with the client's product vision and AppGlide's strategic objectives.
- This includes defining program scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Project Breakdown & Execution :
- Break down complex projects into manageable workstreams, epics, and user stories within Jira.
- Prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient execution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, design, QA, and client stakeholders, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Agile Facilitation :
- Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the development teams.
Stakeholder Management :
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates on program progress, risks, and issues.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams.
Risk Management & Mitigation :
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to program timelines and deliverables.
- Develop contingency plans and implement corrective actions as needed.
Atlassian Tools Mastery :
- Champion the use of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.) to optimize workflows, automate processes, and drive team productivity.
- This includes Jira administration, configuration, workflow automation, and the creation of dashboards and reports.
Metrics & Reporting :
- Develop and implement program metrics and reporting processes to track progress, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports to management and stakeholders.
Process Improvement :
- Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Client Relationship Management :
- Act as the primary point of contact for program updates and communication with the client.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the client and ensure their satisfaction with program outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in program management or a related field, preferably in the software development industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software product initiatives.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and their practical application.
- In-depth expertise in Jira administration, configuration, workflow automation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with other Atlassian products (Confluence, Trello, Bitbucket) is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working with remote teams is a plus
