Role Overview :
We are seeking a Google Analytics Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize analytics solutions that drive actionable insights for business decisions.
As a key member of the data team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements, set up robust tracking systems, and deliver meaningful insights. This role requires hands-on expertise in Google Analytics, data engineering, and analytical tools, with a focus on delivering scalable solutions for tracking, analyzing, and interpreting data across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
Google Analytics Implementation & Optimization :
- Set up and maintain Google Analytics accounts, including properties, views, and goals.
- Implement and manage tagging and tracking mechanisms using tools like Google Tag Manager.
- Configure advanced tracking solutions such as event tracking, enhanced e-commerce tracking, and cross-domain tracking.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting through proper debugging and QA processes.
Data Engineering & Integration :
- Design and develop ETL pipelines to integrate Google Analytics data with other data sources.
- Work with APIs and tools like BigQuery to extract and process large datasets for in-depth analysis.
- Create and optimize data models for reporting and visualization.
- Automate data workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
Analytics & Insights :
- Conduct in-depth analyses of web and app performance metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and reports using visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and establish metrics for success.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support business objectives.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support :
- Partner with product, marketing, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Train stakeholders on Google Analytics capabilities and best practices.
- Provide recommendations to improve user experience, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
Compliance & Best Practices :
- Ensure data compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Google Analytics features, updates, and industry trends.
Skills & Qualifications :
Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4 preferred) and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar cloud-based solutions.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for advanced tracking implementations.
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, APIs, and data integration techniques.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
Behavioral & Soft Skills :

Experience Requirements :

Educational Background :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or GCP are highly desirable.
