Job Profile: Peptide Synthesis

Technical Skills:

• Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS): Familiarity with SPPS techniques, which involve the stepwise addition of amino acids to a growing peptide chain attached to a solid resin
• Liquid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS): Knowledge of LPPS, which is often used for smaller peptides or in combination with SPPS
• Coupling Reagents: Understanding the use of various coupling reagents like carbodiimides, uronium salts, and phosphonium salts for peptide bond formation

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

• Bachelor's Degree: A degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field is often the minimum requirement.
• Advanced Degrees: A masters or in a relevant field can be beneficial, especially for research and development roles..

1. Experience: - Previous experience in peptide synthesis, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
