Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad, India
Salary: 3,00,000 to 5,00,000 per annum

Experience Required: Ed-tech experience is mandatory
Working Hours: Day shift, 6 days a week (Monday fixed off)
Additional Requirements: Candidates must have their own laptop for work.

Role Overview

As a Senior Academic Counsellor for one of our client, you will play a pivotal role in guiding students to achieve their academic goals through personalized counseling and support. Your responsibilities will include interacting with students and parents, understanding their requirements, and providing tailored solutions. This position demands excellent communication skills, a passion for education, and experience in the ed-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling:
• Conduct one-on-one or group counseling sessions to guide students in course selection, career planning, and overcoming academic challenges.
• Identify students' strengths and areas of improvement to provide personalized solutions.
2. Academic Support:
• Develop and implement individualized academic strategies aligned with students' learning styles and goals.
• Regularly monitor progress and update strategies as needed.
3. Parent Communication:
• Keep parents informed about their child's progress and offer strategies to support their learning journey.
4. Sales and Revenue Growth:
• Conduct outbound consultative sales calls and follow-ups with students and their parents.
• Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure closure of leads.
5. Course and Product Guidance:
• Recommend suitable educational paths, including courses, exam preparation strategies, and learning tools.
• Stay updated on the latest offerings in educational tools and platforms.
6. Feedback and Improvement:
• Collect feedback from students and parents to improve counseling strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Educational Background:
• Bachelors or Masters degree is required.
2. Experience:
• Minimum 1 year of academic counseling experience, preferably in the ed-tech industry.
3. Skills and Attributes:
• Strong understanding of education systems, curricula, and learning methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Tech-savvy and proficient in digital platforms for virtual counseling.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
4. Language Proficiency:
• Fluency in English and any one regional language (Hindi/Kannada/Telegu is essential.
5. Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in online education or ed-tech platforms.
• Familiarity with exam preparation methods, including competitive exams.
