Business Change Manager (VP).
Responsible for the creation and execution of a synchronised plan across a wide variety of business functions in order to achieve the timely delivery of business change necessary for the successful implementation of a technical change projects and programmes.
Reports into the Portfolio Lead.
Is a senior member of a Release Train Programme Team.
Specifically:
- Through engagement with business functions, determine the activities required to support the business readiness scope of a project, up to and including technical deployment.
- Develop stakeholder mapping and communication plans.
- For each project, create business change delivery teams aligning to Agile methods, that then synchronise with Technology Release Train governance and incremental deployments.
- Identify and seek to mitigate operational project risk, share delivery risk with Technical Project stakeholders.
- Identify Project budget needs, monitor and report spend against approved funding.
- Identify financial issues and risks ahead of their occurrence.
- Ensure rigorous change management is observed.
- Ensure that the business readiness plan synchronizes with the technical delivery plan by partnering across all delivery teams.
- Ensure that Product Management, Product Owners and Business stakeholders have a clear understanding of the operational readiness plan and their obligations to support and execute it.
- Ensure appropriate escalations into Technology for any issues that may threaten overall timelines or increase delivery risk.
- Be an active member of the Agile Release Train Programme Team.
- Participate in PI planning events, with appropriate business resources, to ensure that PI commitments are made jointly within the business and technology.
- Facilitate regular communications across business stakeholders and where necessary create governance meetings to support business outcomes.
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:.
- The Business Change Management role is a senior position, the Candidate is expected to liaise and partner with senior business stakeholders at CxO, County Heads, Global Product Heads and Project Sponsors.
- The Candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Is expected to bring in significant and demonstrable experience in driving complex change into large global organisations.
- Preferably has experience working in the Financial Services sector specifically Investment Banking, Alternative Assets.
- Has demonstrable experience of delivering both conventional Waterfall projects and also Scaled Agile Delivery (SAFe) EPICs.
- The role is predominately responsible for business change, however experience in technical delivery projects will also be required.
- Has experience of managing remote teams across multiple time zones.
- Demonstrable experience with cost / budget management.
- Has demonstrable experience to navigate through uncertainties, negotiate with senior leadership for commitment to project / program deliverables.
Certifications:.
One of the relevant SAFe Certifications (SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from PMI, preferred.
