Summary of Job: The role of the admission counsellor in the admission process is pivotal and She/he is a mentor or a guide for the potential parent The role includes counselling and suggestions, guidance about their academic and career paths & and assisting with the application and admission process

Job Responsibilities

• Admission counsellors influence potential students to enrol in the programmes offered by the institute by giving them correct & and complete information about the programmes in the institute and the admission process
• The person should be responsible for sourcing new prospective opportunities and closing the admissions to achieve targets and will play a key role in increasing admissions, generating leads, qualifying prospects managing the maximum number of admissions and working under the direct supervision of the HOD of the institution
• Meet personal and team admission targets using various customer methods (Inbound, Referrals, Outbound, presentations, networking etc.) Cold call people using a given database to enrol students and ensure recording & updating the details in the CRM Attend meetings, events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments implement all activities for the Institute.
• It includes BTL (Below the Line) activities such as direct mail campaigns, trade shows, brand promotion activities, telemarketing, exhibitions and targeted marketing etc.
• Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
• Collaborate with team to achieve better results.
• Create frequent reviews and reports with sales data

Skills and Competencies Required:

• Ability to connect with students and parents.
• Capability to influence and achieve admission targets.
• Manage multiple tasks and maintain records effectively.
• Familiarity with programs, courses, and admission processes.
• CRM tools, MS Office, and communication platforms.
• Address queries and provide student-focused solutions.
• Work with marketing and placement teams.
• Engage with diverse student backgrounds.

Experience required & Work Location

2 to 6years of proven counselling experience.
