Release Manager

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Develop and oversee the release plans for project deliverables, including managing the entire release lifecycle.
• Effectively communicate the project-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements across different teams.
• Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks that could delay the release, ensuring the scope, schedule, and quality remain unaffected.
• Monitor progress, address issues promptly, and continuously improve release processes.
• Schedule release readiness reviews prior to deployment and conduct milestone reviews after each release.
• Develop implementation and deployment plans according to the release schedule.
• Coordinate with release managers from various IT departments.
• Oversee Go-Live activities to ensure successful software deployment.
• Collaborate with development teams responsible for creating automation tools used in software development and deployment.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• 10+ years demonstrated IT experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
• 3+ years of experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies
• 5+ years of .NET development experience
• Experience in the use of Application Release Automation tools such as AzureDevOps, Flyway, and Visual Studio Release Management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
