Release & Deployment Engineer - CI/CD Tools (3-8 yrs)

Role Description

Position Summary :

- The role will be responsible for deploying applications in on-premises environments without relying on CI/CD pipelines.

- Your expertise in Linux Red Hat, Nginx, and the Maven build tool will be critical in ensuring smooth and efficient application releases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and execute the deployment of applications in on-premises environments.

- Configure and maintain Linux Red Hat and Nginx servers for application hosting.

- Utilize the Maven build tool for managing builds and dependencies.

- Develop and implement manual deployment strategies and processes.

- Monitor application performance post-deployment and troubleshoot any issues.

- Collaborate with development and QA teams to validate release readiness.

- Document deployment processes, including release notes and installation instructions.

- Provide support for rollback procedures when necessary.

- Stay informed about industry best practices to enhance deployment methodologies.

Requirements :

- 3+ years of experience in release and deployment engineering or related roles.

- Proficiency in Linux Red Hat administration and configuration.

- Strong experience with Nginx configuration and management.

- Expertise in using the Maven build tool for builds and dependencies.

- Experience deploying applications in on-premises environments without CI/CD tools.

- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash or Python.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of version control systems (Git, bit bucket)
