About The Role :

The Data Quality Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing automated solutions to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across various systems.

You will work closely with data analysts, developers, and business teams to maintain high data quality standards to design and implement automated data treatments, automated testing and monitoring of data quality issues with supporting analytics and reporting.

You will drive best practice data engineering, challenge inefficient practices, and influence change to improve business outcomes and reduce manual effort.

Your work will focus on delivering end-to-end solutions, uplifting the data quality, and aligning with the broader Enterprise Automation roadmap.

What will your day look like ?

- Develop and implement automated tests and processes to ensure the quality of data across databases, applications, and systems.

- Build, maintain, and enhance automated frameworks for data quality monitoring and reporting.

- Design, implement, and execute data validation rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.

- Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and business teams to define data quality standards and automate their enforcement.

- Monitor data quality metrics and generate automated reports on data quality issues and trends.

- Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring the root causes are addressed through automation solutions.

- Ensure automated tests and tools are integrated into the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.

- Work with large and complex data sets, ensuring that data is accurate and conforms to standards.

- Continuously improve data quality processes and systems by staying up to date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies.

- Provide support in data migration and data integration projects, ensuring data quality is maintained during the transition.

- Operate a robust approach to Data Quality, Reference and Master Data, Policies, Standards and Obligations reviews, Records, Privacy and Ethics management

- Mapping and cataloguing data elements and data assets and addressing any data quality shortcomings identified in our Divisions data

- Delivering against committed milestones

- Identify and address constraints that hinder progress, escalating as appropriate

What will you bring ?

- To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience in data quality management and automation (minimum of 10 years).

- Experience with data validation, data cleansing, and data transformation processes.

- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, SQL and Automation frameworks, preferably related to data quality (e.g , Selenium, JUnit, Automation Anywhere, RPA, Macros or custom automation scripts).

- Familiarity with data quality tools (e.g , Talend, Informatica, Abinitio, Collibra or custom-built solutions).

- Knowledge of database systems (e.g , MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and query optimization.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data quality management in cloud environments is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- A team player Certification in data quality management (e.g , CDMP - Certified Data Management Professional, DCAM).

- Experience in data governance, metadata management, or data lineage.

- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms to help identify patterns in data quality issues.

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g , Tableau, Power BI) for reporting purpose
