Zebra Technologies is looking for a test engineer skilled in Android application/platform testing who has strong knowledge of Android internals, Test methodologies, Agile scrum techniques, automation test scripts. As an Android automation test engineer you will be playing a pivotal role in validating the functional and performance characteristics of the Android mobile device and ensure that it is enterprise grade. You would work with scrum teams using agile technical best practices right from validation of the stories, executing sanity, functional test plan to joint debugging with the development team of the issues reported while testing. You would be collaborating with various stake holders including Product management, program management, cross functional scrum teams, System Test team etc. to discuss the issues affecting end user experience with a strict compliance to the schedule. Expertise in automation of camera subsystem testing, computer vision usecases and SDK/API development is preferred.

• Testing mobile devices to ensure their configuration, operation, and capabilities work efficiently.
• Working with development team, Test leads, System test team to test and optimize mobile products.
• Developing automated test scripts and frameworks for improved mobile system/app performance.
• Performing upgrade and downgrade of the operating systems and test compatibility of various features.
• Producing clear and concise test reports and releasing notes when needed.
• Providing feedback to development teams on technical, troubleshooting, or operational issues.
• Assisting with the configuration of test environments.
• Suggesting new processes and policies to improve mobile development techniques.

Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of mobile application/platform testing.

Bachelors in engineering, computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a similar degree.

Working knowledge of Android OS.

Experience in developing automated test scripts.

Experience in features related to computer vision.

Experience in SDK/API level automation.

Ability to develop software applications using programming or scripting languages such as Java and HTML.

Experience in using configuration management or version control tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet challenging deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
