Key skills for the job
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as the key interface for customer quality concerns, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Lead problem-solving initiatives for customer complaints using quality tools like 8D, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Ensure implementation and adherence to customer-specific quality standards and requirements.
- Manage quality performance indicators (PPM, rejection rates, warranty claims) and drive improvement plans.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain compliance with industry standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.).
- Work closely with internal teams, including production, engineering, and supplier quality, to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Support new product launches by ensuring quality standards are met before delivery to customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance collaboration and satisfaction.
- Train and mentor the quality team to improve skills in customer communication and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in quality management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be: Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial environment in R&D or Quality.
Skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of Project Management methodology.
- APQP & PPAP validation process knowledge.
- Supplier audit process knowledge.
- Fluent English.
- Results oriented o Ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Cost reduction and Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
