Cogito is currently working on Artificial Intelligence applications in Annotation work and is looking to engage with "Executive- Legal & Compliance" to participate in ongoing projects.

Appointment Post: Executive Legal & Compliance

Nature of Appointment : On Retainership Basis with 3 times Half Day visit to Office each Week.

Job Responsibilities:

As Executive of the Legal & Compliance” Department you would be required to execute, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

a) Monitor records of all Appointment & Engagement Letters issued to employees to ensure full compliance under ESIC, EPFO, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Labor Laws as applicable.

b) Manage documents, contracts and agreements of vendors and Outsourcing Agencies to ensure compliance under relevant laws.

c) Represent the company in all related legal matters, ensuring the organization is effectively represented in relevant legal action.

d) Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of corporate issues including compliance, commercial arrangements and contracting models.

e) Mentor staff and employees to enable professional development and progression.

f) Use your skills effectively to negotiate and properly mediate in matters of dispute at the beginning stage itself, in order to resolve the issues and avoid unnecessary litigation etc.

g) You will be required to appear individually in civil, criminal, arbitration, negotiable instruments court cases, at all times whenever such cases are put forth for hearing and give your best presentation on behalf of the company.

h) Representing before Labour Courts and Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, whenever required.
