Job Description: Dot Net (Web) Developer - Support
Experience : 8-15 years
Job Location : Andheri / Rajkot
Work Timing : 06:30 pm to 03:30 am (IST)
Position Overview :
We are looking for a Dot Net Support (Night Shift - Eastern Time) to join our team and provide support for our web-based applications built on the .NET framework. This role will focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues that arise during the night shift, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of .NET technologies, web application architecture, and strong problem-solving skills to quickly address any challenges that occur after business hours.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide dedicated support for web applications during the night shift, typically outside regular business hours.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from production environments, ensuring that critical issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform proactive checks to ensure application stability and performance during off-hours.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to .NET-based web applications, databases, and associated services (e.g., IIS, SQL Server, etc.).
- Respond to emergency tickets and support requests, providing prompt and efficient solutions or escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain clear documentation of incidents, resolutions, and any required follow-up actions.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security logs to detect potential issues or performance bottlenecks.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Azure Monitor) to assess application performance and infrastructure health.
- Assist with deployments of new releases and patches during off-hours, ensuring minimal disruption to end users.
- Support environment configuration changes, ensuring that they are consistent and in line with production standards.
- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve application bugs, defects, or performance issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and preventative actions taken.
- Prepare regular status reports for management regarding system health, issues resolved, and ongoing improvements.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles to assist with troubleshooting and improve operational efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications :
- .NET Technologies: Strong experience with ASP.NET, C#, and Web API development.
- Web Technologies: Proficient in web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Database Management: Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases, including query optimization and database performance.
- Application Servers: Hands-on experience with IIS and web server configuration, load balancing, and troubleshooting.
Experience :
- 5+ years of experience supporting .NET web applications in a production environment.
- Previous experience in a night shift or on-call support role is preferred.
