Responsible for: Quality support Customer/Supplier issues, actively support internal initiatives including EDITDA, P2P, COPQ, Internal/External Audits
Responsible to: Sr Quality Engineer
Principle Activities:
The role is to provide flexible Quality support to both internal and external customers forming part of the technical services team including VA/VE, BOM validation, Line Trials and Launch Support. You will be required to manage multiple projects at once, working with not only the Engineering Team, but also the Purchase, Quality, New Part Introduction and Operations teams in both Optimas and the Customer.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities are defined as:
Advice to customer on new fasteners required for new design projects
To rationalize part profiles to utilize the minimum number of part numbers, standardizing as much as possible
To generate Engineering based VA/VE proposals to provide savings
Logistical support on vehicle launches
Complete Line Trials in accordance with the plan
You will be required to maintain and develop a set of key performance indicators
Key Skills and Competences
Strong Engineering background minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of automotive vehicles
Knowledge fasteners, materials finishes
Analytical skills Good problem -solving skills
