The Manager/Sr. Manager for Global Custom Campaign Management Team will be responsible for leading the consulting and execution of complex and bespoke marketing strategies across multiple channels and global (US International) markets. This individual will be a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that campaigns are aligned with business objectives and executed flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop 3 or more colleagues whilst providing both strategic and day-to-day guidance support as part of ECES objectives to refine campaign goals, develop customized strategies, and provide expert consultation to marketer globally and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Provide comprehensive marketing campaign consultation, solution design and execution services to Marketing partners on complex Bespoke strategies across Global Consumer Commercial businesses in support of American Express strategic priorities.
Activities include: Custom strategy consultation, Custom Logic build development on EI or other platforms, Data exploration Validation, Process enhancements, Support in Issue Management
Lead the execution of complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns with a focus on integrating big data, and analytics for enhanced precision and performance.
Collaborate with key stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Technologies, Data, Compliance and Operational Excellence to align on campaign objectives, feasibility and overall risk
Monitor and analyze data, assess trends and determine actions to optimize business and operational performance.
Build AXP external Marketing Operations (MarOps/ MarTech) expertise - understand the possibilities/nuances of AXP MarTech products, processes capabilities available to our marketing partners.
Critical Factors to Success:
Proven Expertise : Minimum of 7+ years of experience in campaign management, marketing strategy, or a related field, preferably in a global or multi-market environment.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Strong understanding of key performance metrics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Technical Proficiency : Hands-on experience of big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Python, PySpark, Hive etc) and Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex strategies clearly and persuasively. Ability to convey technical and business information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals
Global Perspective : Experience working with international teams and adapting strategies for different markets and cultures.
Project Management : Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies to oversee campaign progress.
Agility : Comfortable with emerging technologies/trends and is a self-starter with an ability to generate new ideas in an ambiguous or changing environment
Qualifications Needed
Must Have Skill : Strong Hands-On experience on Big Data Technologies (Python/PySpark, Hive, etc.,)
Understanding of Cloud Environment technologies will be an added advantage
Candidate should have a Bachelor s/master s degree in management, Marketing, IT or Engineering from a recognized university.
Prior experience (5+Years) in Marketing Operations (MarOps / MarTech), Marketing or related field.
Prior people leadership experience and a passion for colleague development.
Energetic self-starter with excellent attention to detail, strong process/project management and organizational skills with the ability to think end-to-end.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to translate and explain technical concepts in a simple, easy to understand way.
Excellent relationship/partner management skills/experience with ability to interact, consult and influence up and down across multiple partners/stakeholders.
