Senior Chemist (ICP-MS)

Job Summary:

The ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) Analyst will be responsible for performing trace metal analysis on a variety of samples, including food, water, environmental, and industrial materials. The successful candidate will operate and maintain the ICP-MS instrument, interpret data, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform trace metal analysis using ICP-MS on various sample types.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the ICP-MS instrument.
• Prepare samples, standards, and reagents for analysis.
• Interpret and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Adhere to laboratory protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of all analytical work and data.
• Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Participate in method development and validation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of trace metal analysis and sample preparation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FSSAI, EPA, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
