Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Product Lead who will be responsible for leading the product development, customer implementation, and ongoing customer experience, fulfilling the following objectives:


  • Provide management and leadership to the Business Analysts and Software Implementation Consultants within the Implementation Consulting Group supporting the Product Development Lifecycle.
  • Ensure advanced level product knowledge (both front end and back end) within the Implementation Consulting Group and Software QA team to boost the quality of Software releases and version upgrades.
  • Proactive engagement with customers across the teams to resolve queries and troubleshooting activities providing resolutions and workarounds within the ICG and CCG groups.
  • Ensure product roadmap planning and sprint planning to achieve goals and targets.
  • Lead the customer engagement activity review calls, planning releases, managing expectations and stakeholder fulfilment etc.
  • Experience working in the investment research space will be a huge advantage in this role.


Strong leadership skills will be required to drive consensus on requirements and to ensure decisions are made in a timely manner. Work across internal stakeholders and clients-side SPOCs to drive the roadmap and sprint planning exercises.


The Product Manager will act as a strategic partner to our customers and will be focused on driving and scaling the company's ability to continuously add value and delight our customers. 


Responsibilities-


I. Supporting the Software Development Lifecycle


  • Working with the Business Analysts to ensure high-quality functional use case listing as well as preparation of Functionality Requirement Documents (FRDs).
  • For all functionality enhancement and Change Requests define project scope and effort estimation working across the team.
  • Ensure documentation and Knowledge Transfer (KT) protocols are in place and adhered to ensure minimization of execution risk within the team.
  • Bring project management leadership and oversight to drive discussions around what is to be included in each sprint cycle for delivery.
  • Ensure there is effective triaging between the Development and Testing team and the clients (when necessary).
  • Work in close unison with the Development and QA Leader to ensure a high-quality software offering.
  • Bring consistently to effort estimation and workload planning within the Business Analysts team supporting the product suite.
  • Measure the effectiveness of team members and set them goals and targets to achieve.

II. Ensuring Product Knowledge and Troubleshooting Skills across teams


  • Develop enough knowledge on the product suite to hold granular conversations with the client base on functionality as well as roadmap discussions.
  • Ensure there is product knowledge across team members and conduct periodic tests and reviews to bridge gaps across team members.
  • Develop and maintain T-SQL execution capability in the team to meet customer needs as well as troubleshoot effectively in a post-deployment environment.

III. Talent Acquisition and Development


  • Have a proven track record to build, scale and nurture a team to achieve success over time.
  • Promote teamwork and participation across the team ensuring a collegiate and open culture that propels individual team members to excel.
  • Identify skillset gaps and deficiencies across teams and then look to address them either via training & development or external hires.
  • Minimize flight risk on high-performing team members.

IV. Customer Implementation and ongoing engagement


  • Leading the implementation of projects on new customers. It is therefore very important to run an efficient and time-bound implementation project.
  • Post Implementation ensures a high-quality engagement of the users at the customer end, bringing expertise across the teams to bear on an implementation exercise.
  • Ensure resolution of customer issues and queries is swiftly handled across the product team.

V. Communication and Reporting


  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills generating client confidence in our engagement.
  • Be able to articulate a solution or project deliverables to the client base as well as internal team members.
  • Proficient in MS Office MS Teams, MS Projects, JIRA and related tools

Skill set Requirements-


1. Product Management:


  • Planning upgrade cycles on the product suite in consultation with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in resource planning and headcount discussions keeping in mind flight-risk, 
  • execution challenges and pipeline on business.
  • Having worked in a similar role supporting a CRM product suite would be an added advantage.
  • Create (where missing), review and update protocols and SOPs from time to time to reduce 
  • people's dependencies and reliance on processes.
  • Ensure compliance across the team on JIRA-related protocols.

2. Team Building


  • Ability to lead a team and set an example for others to emulate.
  • A self-starter who likes to get into the weeds with the team and help nurture the effectiveness of team members.
  • Prioritize roles and responsibilities and ensure there is optimal coordination across teams.

3. Customer Engagement


  • Implementation planning and execution.
  • Empower team members to meet SLA commitments and build trusting customer engagement.
  • Knowledge Transfer and ongoing ticket resolution across teams.
  • Conduct periodic reviews with clients as well as (where established) run the monthly or weekly 
  • engagement calls.
  • A pleasant personality that has the necessary soft skills and IQ-EQ combination to get the best of all stakeholder engagement conversations and engagements

Work Experience-


  • Prior experience working in a similar product leader role is a prerequisite for this role.
  • An experience of 3-4 years in a similar role in an organization the size of ANALEC.
  • Worked as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst, supporting the SDLC, at some point in their career would be seen in a positive light.
  • Maturity and hands-on experience in dealing with international customers (primarily Asia Pacific and the United States).
  • Knowledge of the investment research business would be a huge advantage.
  • Strong experience in team management with an emphasis on hands-on mentoring and growing the team from within.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of global capital markets would be an added advantage.
