Job Description
- The IT Head is responsible for overseeing the information technology operations of the campus, ensuring the efficient and effective use of technology to support the institutions educational goals.
- This role includes managing the computing infrastructure, supporting the IT needs of various departments, maintaining network infrastructure, and leading the IT team.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ICTS department.
- Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of hardware and software systems.
- Ensure the security of IT systems and data, implementing best practices for cybersecurity.
- Lead and manage the ICTS team, including training, and performance evaluation.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide technical support for faculty, staff, and students.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of computer labs and departmental IT resources.
- Maintain and update the campus network infrastructure.
- Develop and manage the ICTS department budget.
- Oversee the procurement of IT equipment and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
- Enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Work closely with academic departments to understand and support their specific IT needs.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers.
