Job Description
- Network Architecture: Understand and support LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
- Hardware Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, with a focus on HPE Aruba devices.
- Network Protocols: Configure and manage network devices using standard protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain network security practices, including VPNs, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure network availability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and managing HPE Aruba network devices.
- Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience with network security practices such as VPNs, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with other network hardware vendors and technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline network management tasks.
