The Deputy General Manager for Construction, responsible to the client, ensures the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects in line with the client's vision, objectives, and requirements. The DGM acts as a key liaison between the company and the client, managing project timelines, budget, quality, and communication to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Role & responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple construction projects, from initial planning stages through completion. Act as the main liaison between the client and internal project teams, ensuring clear communication and regular updates.
Ensure that all project documentation, such as contracts, approvals, permits, and changes, are maintained and updated for client review and compliance.
Ensure that the quality of construction meets the required standards and specifications. Identify potential risks to the project Like delays, Any budget issues and any other take proactive steps to mitigate them.
Coordinate between the construction team, design team, and client to ensure smooth operations and alignment across all parties. Monitor construction progress and resolve any issues that may arise. Manage and supervise project managers, site managers, Project engineers, Security persons and whoever at site.
Understand the clients needs, objectives, and constraints to ensure the project aligns with their expectations, and proactively address any concerns. Gather and act upon client feedback, ensuring their satisfaction and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process.
Provide consistent and detailed progress reports to the client, including updates on timelines, budget, risks, and if any issues. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to help employees improve performance and advance their careers.
Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for construction projects. Ensure that all projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
Promote a culture of safety on-site and ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed. Promote and enforce a culture of safety on-site, ensuring the well-being of workers and the public, and meeting client health and safety expectations.
Ensure the quality protocols and SOPs of the company are followed and there is no deviation from quality standards at all times, must educate the contractors and engineers on the quality standards and ensure they are strictly adhered.
Ensure that project engineers post the updates and quality checks from site in real-time in our Amplify Connect Tool, so that customers can have real time updates from the site.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns and all.
