Description Performance Indicators
Accounts Payable Management
Overseeing routine Accounts Payable team activities to ensure
the accuracy and timeline. 100% reconciliation of vendor
accounts.
Vendor relationship management on time payments to
vendors
Define TAT for payments and ensure compliance.
Ensure closure of day end and month end activities related to
Accounts Payable function without deviation, as per agreed
Time liens.
Budgets and DOAM
Enforcing the budgets and policies and department controls.
Adherence of DOAM.
Identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize cost and other
company resources
Support MIS function
Ensuring Accurate cost center postings.
Producing analytical reports on accounts payable activity;
including budget variances Required information/reports are provided
within the allowed time limit. Quality and correctness of the reports.
Auditing and Statutory Compliance
Provide all the necessary clarification to the internal andexternal
auditors of Group business units. Ensuring the TDS & GST compliance and FEMA regulations.
Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures
Monitor and ensure adherence to company policies, directives and
guidelines in the planning and execution of all activities (e.g., accounting,
internal control, DOAM, HR policies etc). Support Internal Controls
function in relevant risk management aspects regarding business units
Accounting System and Process
Process owner for designing the Accounts Payable process.
New processes/modules in operating platform design and
implementation of models in ERP
Automation and process enhancements regular efforts to
migrate manual processes to systems and enhancement of
system processes for better service delivery
Support AOP (Annual Operating Plan)
Support the MIS and Financial planning team in preparation of annual
budget of Group business units by providing necessary inputs and
suggestions.
Team Management
Delegate and monitor Accounts Payable function goals, objectives, and
programs. Lead, Motivate and manage employees to maintain consistent
high-performance standards and efficiency and conduct performance
appraisal of subordinate employees on a periodical basis.
Training to Accounts Team Members
Identify the training requirements of Accounts Payable Team and arrange
for suitable training (both on the job and external).
5. JOB CONTEXT:
A general commentary of any aspects of the job that do not fit logically in
the other sections e.g. current projects, operating context/environment.
Leading the Accounts Payable team with timely processing of payments in
adherence to company budgets and DOAM.
Desired Profile
CA Inter or Postgraduate in Accounting.
5 to 10 years of corporate accounting experience (preferably in Retail
Industry)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
