Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Specialist Business Analyst to join our team to develop an insight driven sensing capability with a focus on revolutionizing decision making. As part of this role, you both engage with the business users and partners to elicit requirements and also perform data analysis and metrics definition activities as part of a product team of data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers.

• Lead requirements gathering and user story creation sessions with key business users and partners eliciting business requirements for system functionality.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog according to business value so that each successive sprint is planned clearly and efficiently, and that development decisions are aligned with business needs.
• Perform data analysis across multiple areas of data to drive understanding and documentation of business logic behind key metrics.
• Assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
• Lead sessions to document and drive understanding and alignment across business groups on metrics definition and data usage.
• Engage with key vendors and platform owners to understand functionality and how those platforms can be leveraged to solve business problems.
• Lead development of user guides or documentation on system functionality.

Doctorate degree

OR Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience

OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of relevant experience

OR Associates degree and 8 years of relevant experience

Must-Have Skills (Not more than 3 to 4):

• 5-7 years of experience in a product analyst role, especially with data and AI products.
• Experience performing data analysis across areas one or more areas of the business to derive business logic to support key metrics.
• Basic SQL knowledge with minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience, ability to run analysis and complex SQLs against large sets of data.
• Experience working with business partners to identify complex functionality and translate it into application requirements.
• Experience working as part of an agile team and authoring development ready user stories, Defect and Epic tracking in Scrum tool like JIRA.
• Analytical skills and techniques to evaluate interpret and resolve complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information.
• Some knowledge and the ability to learn all steps for the successful delivery of technology projects from inception through production deployment, including business analysis, guiding the development process, coordinate UAT, and release management.
• Familiarity with latest UI/UX design guidelines; knowledge/experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies.
• Ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts to non-technical clients.
• Expertise in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), as well as familiarity with AI platforms.

• Familiarity with bigdata technologies, AI platforms, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Ability to work effectively across matrixed organizations and lead collaboration between data and AI teams.
• Passion for technology and customer success, particularly in driving innovative AI and data solutions.
• Experience in services or consulting related to data and AI products is a plus, and familiarity with biotech/pharma is beneficial.
