Software Delivery Lead

In the role of Software Delivery Lead, you will work under the guidance of the Director of Engineering, managing, automating, and maintaining the build processes for multiple software targets. You will influence software engineers in implementing best practices, analyzing performance, and integrating fixes and new features into production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain project status and manage check-in deadlines for custom software development.
• Deliver development and production software builds on time with precision.
• Oversee all software deliverables, ensuring high standards.
• Control release versioning and maintain backward compatibility.
• Manage software tools in manufacturing, ensuring correct versions are shipped with products.
• Plan and expand regression testing suites, ensuring backward compatibility.
• Conduct root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions for software defects.
• Oversee merging of software features from development to production.
• Perform code reviews to ensure compliance with requirements and backward compatibility.
• Support applications for elevated issues, including custom builds, bug fixes, patches, and ECO management.
• Resolve deployment and integration errors while documenting processes.
• Conduct routine maintenance and monitor performance metrics.
• Stay updated on new software technologies and adhere to cyber security best practices.

• Uphold Agile principles in workflows.
• Maintain software builder VMs in a clean and secure condition, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Ensure tools and VMs are backed up with up-to-date recovery procedures.
• Comply with all company security policies and protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in software engineering (SE), computer science (CS), electrical engineering (EE), or a related field.
• 5-10 years in software development and management.
• Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages, including C/C++, C#, Python, and Java, plus scripting for Windows and Linux.
• Deep understanding of build processes on platforms like Windows, Linux, Yocto, Win IoT, and Petalinux.
• Expertise in documenting processes and tracking performance metrics.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay current with software trends and innovations.
