Lead-Portfolio Management Associate

This role is with Columbia Threadneedle Investments, the global asset management subsidiary of Ameriprise Financial. The PMA team provides operational, analytical, and general support to Portfolio Managers and Investment teams to allow them to focus on investment management activities.

General Front Office support (35%)
Timely and effective query resolution for PM, including system and data issues flagged by Fund Managers, such as pricing and holding queries.
Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Data Management, Technology, Compliance, Legal etc
Portfolio monitoring daily including cash and suggesting trades where applicable.

Trade order raising (25%)
Trade Implementation & raising orders in the OMS. Perform daily checks process to recommend trades, highlight potential trades / likely actions.
Monitor portfolio hedging requirements.
Monitor assets approaching maturity and advise Fund Managers

Reporting (various daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly deliverables) (15%)
Provide daily and ad-hoc reporting to the investment team to assist with the decision-making process Provision of data for client presentations, RFP & ad-hoc requests.
Monitoring and reporting of an investment team s portfolio holdings, flows, cash liquidity & overdrafts

Change / Project work / Non-BAU (10%)
Ad hoc project management. Be a key contributor to the Global Investments Business Change team.
Supporting portfolios in transition through enhanced monitoring.
Process enhancements and efficacy. System upgrades/testing/changes

Corporate Actions (5%)
Monitor all Corporate Action emails from Operations.
Diarise due dates.
Collate responses from PM.

Other ad-hoc duties (10%)
Risk and Compliance Oversight and Management
Monitor derivative positions and lifecycle events are processed accordingly.
Attend regular team meetings with Multi-Asset Investment team to discuss priority / focus areas.
