Senior Software Development Engineer

• Well-versed with SDLC and Agile methodologies with 10+ years of experience in software development and troubleshooting.
• An independent thinker, who works around problems and who isn t shy of trying new technologies.
• Experience of working in parallel technologies apart from your core technology area (Java). Prior experience in working harmoniously with the cross-geography team will be an added advantage.
• Should be equally appropriate in development, test, and debugging roles and be ready to wear many hats. This team values fail-fast learners and technology enthusiasts who view learning new technology as a fun experience.
• Leads the end-to-end product life cycle for mid to large-size projects: Design, development, testing, deployment, and providing operational excellence and support.
• Design and implementation of next-generation SaaS using a polyglot of technology.
• Advocate for Industry standards and best practices in development methodologies, techniques, and technologies
• Contribute to advancing the teams design methodology and quality programming practices and mentor junior team members to adopt best practices
• Innovate and implement new ideas to solve complex software problems and prototype creative solutions to enable product MVPs
• Independently understand scheduling, cost constraints, and impact on other teams; and make resource and architectural trade-offs based on those factors
• Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks, before they occur, and present technical issues and their impact on leadership
• Lead, coordinate, and collaborate on multiple concurrent and complex organizational initiatives
• Effectively build and maintain a network of key contacts across the company, and leverage these contacts to achieve results
• Communicate and work effectively with geographically distributed cross-functional teams
• Drive for continuous improvement in software and development process within an agile development team

What We re Looking For

• BE/BTech/MS/MCA in Computer Science or related technical discipline with 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and shipping large-scale enterprise e-commerce applications
• Experience working/multitasking in agile development (continuous-delivery model) with an emphasis on TDD or BDD is preferred.
• The applicant should be strong in analytical skills and Problem Solving
• Experience working in a collaborative development team in multiple locations.
• Knowledge and experience in Object-oriented design, performance, scalability tuning, algorithms, and computational complexity.
• Ability to write clean, coherent, well-documented code and follow established coding-style guidelines.
• Efficient in verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely
• Strong experience with Java, XML, JSON, JUnit
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks, jQuery, React, NodeJS, QUnit (or JavaScript Unit testing)
• Experience with RESTful Micro Services , Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Docker, Gradle, Grunt
• Kafka / Scala / Storm / ElasticSearch / Cassandra
• Solid experience with AWS: EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB
• Relevant industry experience developing in Java and its associated technology stacks. Experience building web services with these platforms desired.
