Software Engineering Specialist (5-9 Yr)

Responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging and/or maintenance of software systems. Works on specific modules, applications or technologies, and deals with sophisticated assignments during the software development process.

• Monitor and manage daily batch cycle execution to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Keep track of bill cycles of different regions and ensure the cycles are running on time.
• Co-ordinate with all stake-holders in case of cycle getting delayed to bring it back on track.
• Understanding of end to end flow of different regions and dependencies with interfacing applications.
• Perform regular system checks and monitoring to maintain operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• In case of job failures, reachout to respective application contacts to resolve the issue in timely manner.
• Ensure all the SLAs related to bill cycle are closely monitored and adhered to.
• Use escalation matrix , as needed, to get right folks engaged and bring cycle back on track.
• Collaborate with application development teams to implement and improve operational processes.
• Document operational procedures and maintain accurate records of activities.
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical operations.

• 5-9 years of experience in operations, monitoring, and batch cycle execution in Mainframes environment.
• Strong understanding of Mainframes infrastructure and system operations.
• Hands-on experience of working with different schedulers like ESP, Matrix, CA-7, Control-M, OMEGAMON .
• Proficiency in using monitoring tools, alerts and softwares and take quick action.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in 24*7 environment.
