1. Security Operations Management;
- Oversee the overall security framework and ensure smooth day-to-day security operations.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) and security alarms for any threats or suspicious activities.
- Ensure 24/7 security coverage, including mall entry/exit points, parking areas, and restricted zones.
2. Emergency Response & Crisis Management:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for incidents like fire, theft, medical emergencies, bomb threats, and natural disasters.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and train security staff on crisis management.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire department, and emergency medical teams when needed.
3. Security Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and manage the security personnel, including in-house guards and outsourced security agencies.
- Define duty rosters and ensure adequate security coverage at all times.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and refresher training for security staff.
4. Surveillance & Risk Assessment:
- Conduct routine security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Maintain and upgrade security equipment like CCTV, metal detectors, and access control systems.
- Investigate security incidents and submit reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
5. Crowd Management & Conflict Resolution:
- Implement crowd control measures, especially during peak hours, special events, and festivals.
- Manage conflicts, disputes, or altercations among visitors, tenants, or staff in a professional manner.
- Ensure smooth traffic flow and parking management within the mall premises.
6. Compliance & Legal Coordination:
- Ensure adherence to mall security regulations, fire safety norms, and government guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of security incidents, visitor logs, and emergency response actions.
- Liaise with police and legal authorities on security-related matters when required.
7. Theft & Fraud Prevention:
- Implement anti-theft measures and loss prevention strategies for retail stores within the mall.
- Work closely with store managers and law enforcement to detect and investigate shoplifting or fraud cases.
8. Customer & Tenant Relations:
- Foster a safe and secure shopping environment for customers.
- Address security concerns raised by store tenants and provide necessary assistance.
